Los Altos Hills – RECAP OF 2016

The median price reached a record high for the fifth year in a row increasing 5% to $3,800,000. The average price, while not a new record, matched the record high average set in 2015. The length of time to sell a home increased from the record low set in 2015, and was still a respectable 22 days. Also notable in 2016, and an indicator of the continuing strong demand for homes here, was the fact that 24% of the homes sold for more than original list price. However, it is important to note that in 2015, 53% of the homes sold for more than original list price so there is clearly a shift occurring.
